Hello stranger

will you love me now
with your lack luster eyes
and poison lips?
you have missed me in your
arms,I know
'welcomed always', you smile
a cold brittle thing devoid
of real feeling

you show me the world through
a kaliedescope of pain
each avenue of sun blocked
by your intimidating presence
with false kindness remind me
I am wretched and useless
the way lovers do

so begins the chant
low noise confusion only
I can hear
a deep rumbling of thunder
like the peircings of a
thousand daggers

I find twisted comfort swaddled
in your dementia
learn the pleasures of affliction
as you nibble my lobes with razor
sharp tongue
yeild to gallowed fingers wrap
around any protests
all stifled beneath insistent
kisses

punctured by your lies
I bleed a new dream,
one of stretching drowsily
over skies devoid of tiers
in your arms swoon to promises
of the sweetest sleep

come, false comforter

take me...

Wow! this rocks, such phrasing!
~tiers~
"punctured by your lies
I bleed a new dream,
one of stretching drowsily
over skies devoid of tiers
in your arms swoon to promises
of the sweetest sleep

come, false comforter

take me..."

This is a powerful poem, it reminded me of my childhood.

"punctured by your lies
I bleed a new dream,"

GREAT LINE!!

Thanks for sharing.   - Ed

Thank you everyone for your awesome comments.  I wasn't sure how well this poem would be received because of its content.
