This, a river that used to fight me, seems calmer, spreading warmth down length of skin exposed. Turbulent waters turned smooth. I see myself, reflected, projected into the sky of complete tranquility. I can lower my head and sleep. Peace, knowing she gently rocks my ease like a lovers touch on small of back. Worrying less of lack. Held safely in amniotic sac, she is mother, honest and pure. A baptismal of demure. Disinfecting a self realigning what defines wealth. I bequest me to he becoming She. _________________ K? fk! "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

exhale... I love the title. Almost as much as the poem... you reached in there and pulled it out, lady. Anybody ever tell you that you ROCK? More of these, please. |

Thank you everyone!!! and because I was asked to explain some of this piece, I am giving the title meaning which should clear up the questions: bur·geon also bour·geon Pronunciation Key (bûrjn) intr.v. bur·geoned, bur·geon·ing, bur·geons To put forth new buds, leaves, or greenery; sprout. To begin to grow or blossom. To grow and flourish. ^5K "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Wow! All these years I have had a misunderstood memory. A long time ago in a border town in West Texas a young kid asked me if I wanted to meet his mother and he promised she was a burgeon. Thanks for posting this! It has cleared up that misunderstanding for me. *grin* OK, so I am a creep sometimes. This is an excellent poem kiddo, really excellent! |
