Was color born
Before she came
Into the world

Didn’t it lack
Wasn’t it sad, dark
Cruel and hard

All the flowers
Of summer
The sun smiling
The cool blue air

It was she
Who finally caused the birds to sing
And made the wolf
Want to be her guard
