How is it that we are still together? Even though the bleakness of winter has set in my soul Where the music has mellowed And the heavy burden of life has strangled my goals! Why do I always travel towards the darkness? Even though the only shimmer of light emanates from you My safe-haven, my rock, my bijou. Frantically searching for possible divides I sweat and I struggle against the tides. The prospect of reality finally dawning on me A sense of calm and belonging engulfs enabling me to see. |
