Take this black and white photograph A portrait of myself, my life Fold me in half and tuck me away among the lost letters and discarded Christmas cards. The dated postcards knowing nothing what their words are, what they mean. But I stand out now no longer merging into the faded ink and curled edges of the past No longer living a faded fantasy a mind numbed in years. After all those hours, long and dark with nothing to relieve my mind but the memories, etched onto my skin I'm free I linger in the autumn leaves, saved, a picture floating in the breeze but, He whispers in my ear "It'll never last" Now I know my shadow amongst the past will once again be my refuge. Every breath shared in the soft willows of the wood between myself and my reflection A lie. Truths, like liquid fire in my veins. I pick up my voice, piece by piece and cry out Won't someone take my black and white photograph and colour me in? |

Your style reminds me a lot of... well myself  As such, I think your words are fantastic, and I hope you don't squash that "wanting to write" urge. Looking forward to more  and then He created the horse... |
