Life Like Me As I woke up, The punishing ginger sun Pierced through the window Only to char my eyes. I threw on some clothes, Grabbed my bag, And I left the room. I’m sorry, I said to you As I left But you didn’t listen. No, There was no sound that day. Only a bitter-sweet banter that spewed From the lockjaw of failure. As I laid on the butcher’s block Awaiting the man’s blade to drop upon me. I remembered you, I wished time would stop, But without time I could not be free. I lost you to the wretched world. I lost myself to my own reality. You said, I’m an infectious being Without reason Without premise. But still you loved me. You were right, Which is why I’m not right for you. I love you, That will never change. But I can’t be with you. I guess that’s just life, Life like me… |

the lockjaw of failure ( a great line) You said, I’m an infectious being Without reason Without premise. But still you loved me. You were right, Which is why I’m not right for you. I love you, That will never change. But I can’t be with you. I guess that’s just life, Life like me… I think I know someone like that~~~ sighing~~ M |
