Focus 31 July 2003 Like a tiny, furry moth to a flame in the wind I circle harmony spiralling in and out and burn with the passion of peace when it singes my soul for a gentle moment. - Owl |

Despite my huge, undying fear of moths, i didn't shudder, but felt as peaceful as you described reading this. It reads like one of those rare dreams, that you never forget. |

Thanks littlewing and jemjop. Jemjop, I am so happy that you felt that way, especially about the moths. I used to be a schoolteacher and quite separately I used to be on the Wildlife Committee and I took many children and adults out on nature trails. I also used to have a Nature Club at the school I taught at, and it was my intense delight to introduce people to creatures of which they were afraid (e.g. snakes) in a different light and teach them not to be afraid of them. To see a middle-aged woman who had been terrified of snakes her whole life, stroking a snake that I held as though it was a purring cat and looking forward to telling her grandson about it, gave me a wonderful feeling of purpose and usefulness. You awoke that feeling in me again. Thank you. - Owl |
