discovering you
is tiptoeing
down
the seams of a swallow
like cool water
barefoot
to a sahara
with reasoning

you are night
as a woman
in gauzless gowns
of beguiling wind
only your whispers
strum

enchanted cellos
of hemlock
for the soul
whose eyes
can never close
to dream
