"It's nothing..." She tells me. And I believe her. Even as I hold her in my arms. Believing in everything as well. |

I suppose that in one way at looking at nothing, there can be everything. Hmm, profound thought that be. I do not know if this is where you were going with the poem, but I do enjoy the kiss of your pen! Linda |

Why do I always want to argue that sometimes the nothing is more than any something that ever was? |

Eric, Again, I smile at how you take a few words and write so much. I enjoy your word play. miscellanea |

And that is what she wishes - that everything is well. So that you believe that is, in a way, making her plight stronger. 'Tis better to believe all is well, than not. |

I think women are inclined to say "it's nothing" when, in fact, it is something but another's belief that everything is well is a strong calming influence but only, of course, when attuned to one another. You write so well of life and relationships. |

The Buddhist Heart Sutra tells us that form is emptiness, emptiness form. Quantum Physics has a similiar sutra of wave/particle. My teacher in this poem, manages to alter my view of reality with only a few words...and of course her constant love. Indeed at once everything is nothing/everything, spirit/flesh. In the end duality is let go...if only for a moment. Love, Eric |
