Reflections Of Me
By Paul Wilson

You…sitting there
on your mighty throne
assuming…assuming
you know me like a dog
knows his bone

How could you
write the masterpiece of me
when there are
visions from within
you can’t see

Not knowing
where I’ve been
what I’ve done
twisted roads traveled
to journeys end

Stroke of wet quill
the poet makes a start
like the blood
dripping…dripping
from my heart

Stories I can weave
with the best
believe what you will
separate lie from truth
maybe you will pass the test

Jesters smile tells story
of laughter and happiness
underneath painted face
true feelings un-masked
reveal soul painted in sadness

Reflection in mirror
distorted freeze frame
poet wears tears of rhyme
another story has been told
ending never the same

~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~

Why do I feel sad for you my sweet Paullie?

sigh

You should see yourself majestic as you are--and I am going to track you down and give you the hugest hug one of these days.

smile

I see your picture and see a teddy bear.

Look at yourself through others eyes and then hug yourself sweet poet man.

You are more than worthy--now c'mere--

and yes, I do love your poem. Your writing grows as does your heart.

I can't say it any better
than Serenity did...

I see a teddy bear too...

and yes... a worthy one...

Can you see the brilliance being reflected back at you, Poet Paul?

Giving you a big, loving hug,

I know that throne all too well.  Hmmm - you are right.  But I am very attached to the throne.  Maybe I need addiction counseling.

You write of this cycle very well.

Serenity...Please don't feel sad for me, cause that would make both of us sad and we can't have that. If we ever meet I will take you up on that big hug.
Glad you think my writing is getting better. Thanks so much for your support and repiy...Paul

My wife calls me her big Teddy Bear....

Dave...Thank you for your wonderful reply. I don't know about the publishing part, but it does sound good...Paul

Vicky...Maybe I need to change my pen name to Teddy Bear LOL.
Thanks very much for taking time to read and reply. Glad you feel the same way as Serenity...Paul

Linda...Your reply makes me blush. Coming from someone as gifted as you I really appreciate your kind words. Thanks...Paul

Jeep Monkey...Thanks for reading and taking time to reply, I appreciate it.
I guess we all have to come down from our throne's every now and then and see ourselves for who and what we really are...Paul
