To Joy I. Lewey said that as we realize we must lose, That in the gaining of knowledge we choose To let go what is more precious than we know, And in the process appear to grow. Yet even still I can imagine a gnome running by, Or beyond the next turn a stair up into the sky, Perhaps over the hill a mere where fay are at play And the beasts have their say. The Peter in my heart cannot win this fight, The Pan is too strong and longs to take flight; Though a mature exterior I may long show, This boy will forever know how to crow. ------------- with a nod to honeybunch who reminded me of certain things. -majnu -------------------------------------- Timid thoughts be not afraid. I am a Poet. [This message has been edited by majnu (12-27-2005 05:40 PM).] |
