I Became Their Yesteryears People still say get over it Its all they ever seem to say So I hide how I really feel By pretending that I am okay Tears are not always shown Hurt had been easily masked Yet I never lied about love If that question is ever asked While I am still living my life I have been missing someone Knowing I love them forever I suppose they had moved on It was a waste of time crying They would never see my tears Useless opening floodgates As I became their yesteryears Hope©2005 Link to the poem with music and graphic below http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/94/poem_804294.html |
