The tractor had not seen the unmowed field, The golden rod, the Queen Anne’s Lace The wintry snow on gravel lane. White caps had flooded the weedy field and Most life, the drifts had drowned, But from white blanket’s minute holes, Crystallized weeds were found. There, white fires in glistening gowns Flittered from stem to stem. Though July is known for lightning bugs, In December, weed became the gem. Misce, this is a indeed! Every crystal-clear word was a gem! Vividly descriptive! Nature as viewed by the eyes of a fine poet ~ and farm girl. Linda |

Earth Angel, So glad you could see it, too. This scene caught my eyes two or three weeks ago, but I just couldn't figure out how to express it. I questioned how well I wrote it last night, but gave up with a yawn, figuring I'd revise in the a.m. Now, it's a pleasure to find it is in your library. With that being, I won't revise it one bit! You, my dear angel, are very kind. misce ~~~ Jo, I wish you could have traveled the bumpy lane with me a couple of weeks ago. It was breath-taking! I'll be thinking about you and am sure we'll speak on the phone "relatively" soon as we always do on Christmas Eve. Knowing that His blessings are and will be with you, your sister, cathy |

Ms. Cellania Just a note to say I found this poem, On these blue pages, To be quite lovely, On this morning of a busy day.. I love it When a verse stops me in my tracks, I believe the time it takes me to read Is not subtracted from my life... When I pause to view the scene, And say the script out loud- As if it were my lines In some timeless play.. ____________ice ><> |

Love the painting of the wintry portrait, your descriptiveness added greatly to the imagery. Thanks and Merry Christmas and happy holidays. |
