 Artist: Linda L. Dowd Come Christmas Morn ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ The air is crisp this winter’s night, ~ The skies an incandescent gray. All is still in my home town, For come the morn is Christmas day. Feathered plumes of chimney smoke, They curl and swirl in slow arise, Looking like a Hallmark postcard, ~ Heaven’s hearth in realize. Distant bells are ringing softly, Memories flood from long ago. When all was charmed ~ so pure and simple, As Old Man River, life did flow. Praise is sung thru’ Yuletide carols, Around a warming pine log fire. Merry moments to be cherished, Of faith and hope thru’ song inspire. The air is crisp this winter’s night, ~ The skies an incandescent gray. All is still in my home town, For come the morn is Christmas day. |
