Follow me but no one does around the twists and turns;
I’m looking for the spring in a step that plods along
the dusty ever after of his choice to weigh me down
with overloaded boxes of the unattainable.

Swim with me but no one does in the waves of grief;
I’m looking for the twinkles from eyes as blue as sea
and the magic lost from the corners of my smile
the day you said goodbye to the beauty that is “I”.

Dream with me but no one does in a darkened room;
I’m looking for the tremble of passionate release
and the shivers of delight like an earthquake in my life
that once rippled ecstasy through unknown territory.

I’m looking for that mystical element of time
that doesn’t give a damn how long it takes to find
and that glory be divine strength to simply know
nothing can be found if the timing isn’t right!

Helen....I sure hope you find what you want...I think many are looking for the same thing, love!  You are such an amazing woman that I doubt you will be looking long.

You speak form the heart to the heart in a very poignant way.

Thanks Martie and Eric for the read and, no, Martie I'm not looking.  To have known the best is enough.

Eric, heart to heart will one day be the only form of speech.   I'm just ahead of my time.

I can relate to your very sensitive poem, beautifully put.  I wish like you that I could say I have known the best.  I'm glad that you have, but even more so that you know that you have.  That is a precious gift

Helen~
I greatly enjoyed this read ... and then
this gem of a reply -

'To have known the best is enough.'

- isn't that the truth ?

Yes ... it surely is~

Helen,

I do believe I am enjoying your responses
just as much as I do your poetry.

All I can say, is,

Write On!

Yes, Diana, it is a gift and always the most wondrous gifts come in the most mysterious fashion.  I guess it's just so that we can appreciate them more or at least at the level at which they deserve to be appreciated.

Marge - Thanks.  It is enough and yet one always hopes for more.  Human nature?

Sunshine - Thank you for that encouraging response.  No doubt I shall write until ... love comes home.

Shades of Paul - I wouldn't go so far as to say that timing is "everything" but it certainly plays a large part.  Thanks for the read.
