Naked Trees naked trees dance to music’s brittle symphony I watch them in horror as they softly moan and bear bitter witness to the aching twin of my soul I would like to help but my limbs too are frozen vapor speaking where warm words fall crystal for the stirring under my own feet only find crunch winter drifts to places that no warm can touch whispering into silence with the return of an echo water bleeds in ice it truly hurts the flowing no smoke can comfort me and I truly miss the sun just some words cut out |
