Guile in a Wile

While looking through a field of words
I picked thee a bouquet
Was guided by a flock of birds
In morning light display

It’s there I plucked some fertile turn
Just a sprite of humor
A thistle of delicate fern
Green and early bloomer

I added too, some blue of dawn
And just a little pink
And wrapped it in the mist of morn
To set inside a wink

I grant it was a wild bouquet
Was meant to bring a smile
I hope you take it as repay
And cherish it awhile

Wet nurse it till it changes look
Then press it in a book

Your guile is always worth the while, Sir Sonneteering Angel!

~ I absolutely adore those lines!
