thanks jo
thanks dawn, both times i owe you an email i know..i'm lazy
nakd, yup, still asking myself that question
thanks goldenrose
Susan i was about 4-5 when it happened. as a kid my first reaction was simplistic, i just asked why? but then, when i really came to know what the man stood for, when it really hurt that we were robbed of his music, that is still the question. shrugs
Aye Sue, one of mine, i kind of flubbed part of it but it's not too bad(yes i must critique everything i do before you ask)
Chris
Gemma, you are bossy, but you're also far away so it's not like you can do anything if i don't listen. and Gem? the ending of this poem still sucks
thank you Martie
Many thanks Ed, still rough around the edges but i'm a tryin
thanks Corinne, i didn't want to be maudlin about it(though the end seems a little cliche/sentimental)

The loss of this gentle man is still heart wrenching.
and yet, when I heard the first report that he was shot, I actually went back to sleep.
Why?
I simply didn't believe it.

Only you could write it so perfectly.
they were playing his songs on Thursday, and they played 'Woman' oh it reduced me to tears.
And the sketch Bello... is just Magnificent.
He's my favourite Beattle.

(big angel hugs) Oh Raphael, though I wasn't born yet when this tragic day happened, I very much feel this unique feeling of nostalgia in my heart as though John was always truly an older brother to me, and indeed he has always been a most influential inspiration to both my social consciousness writings and my activist spirit! (sigh) I ran a tribute to John Lennon last night on KBOO I self-produced and I know with all my heart his voice will forever croon on because his voice was all-encompassing and universal, God Bless You for this wonderful tribute, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!

Since I'm here I will say this is beautiful, and the drawing as well...considering I do have it printed out already.
