Forever Mine

She knelt besides the waters edge
Looking deep surmise
Watching coral gardens flow and
Swimming butterflies

Sketched her with my fountain pen each
Stroke became alive
Etched it in my mind as well to
Make it to survive

Stole an image of her time for
Future idolize
Something more than whimsy dreams to
Stay before my eyes

Now I hold the black and white with
Teas that never dry
Alone by the waters edge of
Swimming butterflies

A moment of ageless shrine that
Is forever mine

If you actually sketched that (which I am hoping you did) I wish you could show us the doodle of yours in black and white.

Actually you just did!  Morning Isabel and Sy, stay well

I was wondering... In the fourth stanza, second line should that be tears and not teas? if not I'll get the kettle on and start such a brew that will make you stop crying.  Lovely work, beautiful images.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Mr. T., ye be an artist with a poet's heart.

Ye also be, a poet with an artist's eye.

This poem is a delicate expression of what your heart feels and your eyes see.

Beauty begets beauty, Beau One!

Angel hugs 'n kisses,
EA
