Why won't you try to love me? I know I'm not that hot. A lot of other fellows, Have a lot more than I've got. Some have a lot more money, Most have much better looks. But culture ain't all measured, By the things you learn from books. I can tell a good horse from a bad, By looking in his eyes. He'd have get up early- To take me by surprise. I can handle any cattle, Every wore a coat of hair. And when it comes to workin' late You'll always find me there. I try to always keep my word- If I lie it's by mistake. All I need to make a loan, Is a good, old-fashioned shake. And if the job is good or bad, I'll always tote my load. And try to help another feller Get on down the road. I guess I'm just a cowboy- That's my only claim to fame. And I guess I am a knothead But I love you just the same. There's more to me than calloused hands I also have a heart. A love for natures beauty- I appreciate good art. Your beauty overwhelms me- Your words are like fine wine. I'd give the whole blamed universe, If you were only mine. |

Gunslinger, Yup, you make a good romantic. Nicely done. But I dont' get this line: "I can handle any cattle, Every wore a coat of hair." If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

Awwww, this is sad. I, for one, love the cowboys. I hope you win in gaining her affection and love. |
