If I could gather stars and weave them into lace You would awaken wrapped in sentiment There is perhaps no greater expression Than the delicate unveiling of intimate light That greater and best discovery inside That wilderness that is scented with freedom Lilac and lavender air that nurtures a well kept heart I would not presume to know the all of you For that is a journey I wish to make in inches and moments A thrill I have tasted in the passing of lingered time Thoughts that I savor long beyond the resonance of day Dating an eternity that still glistens naturally in my eyes I have not forgotten one sound or shape, Or the colors that you wear If I could gather stars and weave them into lace I would keep a smile on your tender face for longer Than the smoke that finds impression rising tenderly Yet stronger Copyright Kkh 11/26/05 |
