Snow kisses all our mountaintops.
What a magical sight to see.
Fog settles low in every valley,
Frost sticks to branches of each tree.

To behold a winter evening’s sunset
Above mountains and trees so tall,
I liken to a master’s precious canvas,
Tonight’s presentation by Andy Warhol.

Tomorrow clouds of whitest cotton,
Greet us on another glorious winter morn,
Sky of blue against tall evergreens
Give reason to all why they were born.

I will never take for her for granted,
Nature and all that she can give,
For if not for her artistic creations
What a boring life we all would live.

Carpe' Diem

The photo is of mountains on the north shore of Vancouver, B.C. in Canada, freshly snow-kissed.

Well, it won't be long before the winter folks are in 7th heaven here.  I have moved off Grouse Mountain, but no matter where you live in Vancouver there are fabulous mountains to behold. They bring the tourists that is for sure and we thank you all for coming.

Canada is a beautiful country and I am a little prejudice, but I think B.C. is by far the most beautiful province.  However from coast to coast, each has its own special attractions.  Ours just happens to be natural mountains, sea, whales, and the like in a forest setting that is green all year!

Thank you all and now I too am rambling LOL.

Thank you for reading this one, and wow the sunset was spectacular here tonight.

When our sky gets this awesome I always think of our Midnitesun (Kacy,) and her Northern Lights that she loves so.

what timing! I just popped in to see what I knew would be a treat, and got a double treat! Thanks, Sharon! It's been raining here since yesterday morning, and we will be lucky if we see some sunshine in the next week or so. But I can sure enjoy yours!

Sharon,
How I appreciate your eye for beauty! But that your mind converts it to a description of such lovliness makes you twice as precious! Thanks. I miss you a lot so it's a delight to know I can always find you here.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

You are so right, Sharon!  This takes me back to my youth in Ohio when I'd wake up in the dark and look out at the snowkissed trees.  Thanks for the inspiration.  *hugs*....jo

And you, dear poet are part of that "artistic creation"

I can't imagine you ever being bored, I think that when you lean that way, you pick up your pen and create words like these to rekindle the passion of life..

enjoyed the poem and picture...

What a lovely tribute to your beautiful area Sharon. I'm so thrilled that I was able to enjoy it with you for a little while. I can't imagine being so blessed to wake up and see that every day. You do live in one of the most gorgeous places in the Great White North, no question.

Best wishes and hugs,
/Kit

Larry, you have family around here, next time pick up the phone okay?

Iliana, it is easy to write on something that speaks to any soul with pictures so vivid.  Thank you.

I am laughing at Ice as he's so right, no dust settles on this gal!  I am always on the go, and loving every second of it!  I looked out today and it is finally b]snowing![/b] You just have to be grateful to be alive at a picture like that don't you?

Kit, you can come play any old time you know that, and if this keeps up we can even have a snowball fight, and I can see what great shape you are in

Okay, no fighting! LOL   It's been a while since I had a good snowball fight.  That's a magnificent view and your poetry further enhances it, Sharon.

God bless
