beautiful, this pine-scented cathedral no human-made wonder can ever match; only a few stars penetrate the canopy with their silver glow — but not enough to ease the flutter of the heart as the eyes peer into the velvet blackness impenetrable campfire exhausted, last embers acquiescent, peaceful, slowly fade into an eternal sleep... silence a twig snaps sharply nearby... a sudden chill tightens the follicles and an ancient fear draws the body taut - listening... waiting... silence the night is so dreadfully... beautiful... CastleGuard, I feel utterly deprived. Not just because I can't get to the mountains often enough to satisfy my need. But also because you've been here all this time and write so little! This was wonderful. More please. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |

CG, now you've taken me by heart, hand and mind and led me right into those towering pines! A beautiful trip, thank you! |

very nice, You have written a poem about one of my favorite things to do, I get so inspired, being one with nature. ~ARh "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take - but by the moments that take our breath away." |
