A Wounded Childhood A nameless face, in a crowd of thousands. Cries out for help, and yet none are near, or none are willing. Two views of two seperate beings. As you stare into his eyes, you can see both victory and defeat, both love and hate, both tenderness and pain. And yet through his pain, he has managed to hold on, to save the one last breath, to fight on, through the darkness, the torment. His life, he's standing outside in a cold storm. The chilled wind cuts him, The cold blisters, and the snow beats down, upon his distraught face. He has nowhere to go, home means pain, away means suffering. With no longer a family of a worth, One must trust in himself, rely on himself. |

All too many children suffer such wounds... and ignoring a problem almost never makes it go away. Thanks for shining this light. *S* |

Beautifully written and so very true. Sad there are those who hide behind a mask. |

This is so sad, yet so true in many instances. Good writing. Hugs to you, Ethel |

Yes, you must rely upon yourself in those types of situations. But it is best not to forget that you cannot always stand alone. By that I mean, there are friends out there that are as close as family. And, one must not rely on one's self too much as to forget those who are truly there. Nice write, Kristabell |

One must trust in himself, rely on himself. very true , it seems cold but when you rely on others thats when you set yourself up for a fall ,independant is a good thing but always remember to follow your heart and all will work out ~wolfman |
