On A Journey To The Unknown

If Only I Could

It warmed my heart
to see your smile
It breaks my heart
to know you will die
It wasn't enough
you lost your mind
Now you are inflicted
with such a dreadful
destructive disease
Oh how I wish I could
rid you of your pain
If only I could
I truely would
A compassionate heart
is just not enough
I hold back the tears
try not to cry

My dear sweet lady
As long as I am there
I will always love you
and comfort you
When the day comes
You are no longer here
I will always remember you
With that beautiful smile
And the gleam in your eyes
For you touched my heart
More than you could ever know

Sue...

I can see why it is you love your job...
and pain from it, as well.

It is not easy taking care of those
who cannot take care of themselves...

and you, my friend...are a gift to them.

Just as they open your eyes for you.

It takes a strong woman to do what you do...
but the strength is mainly in your spirit...

God bless you, Sue.
