Little one so close to me
Lay your head down
Drift off to sleep
Tomorrow brings a full new day.

Wash your little hands
Scrub your dirty face
Brush your tiny teeth
Nice and clean, now off you go.

Into your jammies
Blankie in hand
Head bowed in prayer
Kisses good night.

A kiss to mommy
I love you, good night
All tucked into bed
Mommy, don't forget the night light!

Know yourself before you try to know someone else.
