If Ever I Love Againit just wouldn't be the same as it was, when I loved you For the deep admiration I once felt for you could never be given to anyone else For when you and I first met you were everything to me managing to get inside My heart had been closed for such a long, long time still, you manged to enter Now, I sit here all alone always with you on my mind wondering what went wrong My heart still aches inside sometimes, I want to cry but, what good would it do The pain I had felt that day when I had to get up and go isn't as strong, as it was then Even though, I know it is best you are there, and I am here it still hurts me today, at times © By Sue Graves 11-20-05 |

A very sad yet beautiful poem. Eventually over time you get over the hurt. It has taken me almost 4 years to get over Greg. Keep up the awesome poetry!!! Poetry is beauty in words. |

So much hurts in the looking back and I often wonder why we let it. I guess we just want to keep what was good but in that yearn we end up hurting each time we remember. Enjoyed your thoughts and emotion here. |
