Yesterday my brother and his wife and his wife's sister dropped in For the night Before they headed to South Carolina For a little vacation Everything went wrong that night The cat peed on the newspaper And I changed it out yet again Then a couple hours later The dern cat up and decides to pee on the rug Then as I get ready to go to bed An itchy throat I do get I don't know what caused it All I know right now is As I type this morning I still got it At 3:23 AM I am awoken By my brother knocking on my parents bedroom door All I could hear was His throat was on fire and him Asking my mom for some kind of medicine So then the light in the bathroom And in the kitchen come to life I say to myself Oh great there goes more of my sleep So I decided to crawl out my bed I walked in to the kitchen And mom said for me to go back to bed My sister-in-law and brother say hello I told my mom it was easier said than done My throat has itched half the night So she gave me some medicine And said go back to bed I crawl back to bed But the lights still blares on Until 4:50 AM when they finally left They decided to leave before 7:30 AM Because my brother wanted to drive While he was feeling good But why oh why Did he decide to ruin my sleep I have the lack of sleep blues But I am still at work Doing what I am supposed to Even though I wish I wasn't so dern sleepy Poetry is beauty in words. |

LOL this one was a good one, I liked the way you explained things here, I mean I can't say I don't have these moments myself, then again, who doesnt??? lol thanks for sharing, keep up the awesome poetry!!!! Poetry can get you very far |
