As he limmped behind the bucking chutes, He heard his buddy say, "Dang, Sam, you're riding today?" He slowly nods his head because, Well, it kinda hurts. And as he straps on his old brown tattered chaps, He winces from the pain, While he streches his stiff acking body, He wonders if it is really worth it all. He carefully eases hiself down Onto that black one-horned bull, The though again races in his mind, Is it really worth it all? He quickly nods his head and yells, "Let's go boys!" The arena boss throws open the chute gate, And the bull lets him have it's all. But he holds on for those eight long seconds, And as he comes comes crashing to the arena floor The crowd is on their feet screaming Causing a thunderous roar He stands smiling and thinks, "Yeah, it's worth it all and what a way to go." Know yourself before you try to know someone else. |

Y'know, Cory, we have a cowboy in here who writes of the rodeo... I think if you look him up, you'll find him to be an enjoyable read! As a female fan of rodeo... this had me smiling all the way! |
