(This is a new rocker I wrote about my recent emotional lovesickness/frustration, and used Red #40 as an analogy as it can be both a colorful food coloring but also a great health risk as well, where I feel desire is just the same way; it can create such comfort and pain at the same time, and I'm just yearning for true love to stream into my bloodstream like water to wash away all this aching passion in my bloodstream like Red #40. )

Red #40 (Frustration)

I welcomed your passion with open arms,
so my mind could briefly be left off duty,
but reason couldn’t hold the reins,
look at what’s happening to me,

and you lingered over me in my sleep,
I heard you say, “Passion is a powerful spring!”,
and you lingered over me in my sleep,
I wake from dreams moody from your intoxicating...

AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will dissolve away,
AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will wash away...

I always treat passions as good servants,
is it ironic they can be such bad masters simultaneously,
don’t get me wrong, I always hold you to highest regard,
I just need some room to breathe,

you lingered over me in my sleep,
I heard you say, “Passion is a powerful spring!”,
and you lingered over me in my sleep,
I wake from dreams moody from your intoxicating...

AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will dissolve away,
AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will wash away...

I touch where my cheek was kissed,
I FEEL YOUR STAIN OF RED #40,
it’s so sweet but can burn like sulfur to the touch.
It’s torture and it is bliss,
SILHOUETTES CAN BE SO SPORTY,
desire is rage flirting with love.

AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will dissolve away,
AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will wash away...
AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will dissolve away,
AND I WAIL,
someday this frustration,
will wash away...

I touch where you kissed my cheek in dreams,
I felt your stain of red #40,
don’t get me wrong, I love it,
I just need some time to breathe...

Ah sweet Noah...I'm just going to have to find you a girlfriend.
Such an ache to this write sweetie..
Wish I could hear you play the guitar.
Heart hugs, Nancy

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

This is quite good Noah and yes, I too would love to hear you sing.
Hey....isn't it time for a new pic? We want to see how you have matured. Maybe one taken at your radio job? That would be cool.
hugs, Chris

Great song! bitter sweet and I don't think I will ever again look at the color #40 red without you coming top of mind! Bet this sounds great to music.
