Silence I have learned can be blessed relief
As opposed to the nights I pull the covers up on you
After dressing you and putting you to bed
I want to scream at the injustice of a cyclic life
Not understanding why you are doing these things
To us, to others, to yourself

This hurts much worse than before
I expected more from you
I thought you understood that I would never live
That way again
Yet you push me into a corner and I will respond

I may cry forever over the loss of who you were
But I cannot live with the who you have become
Not being who you need to be for her
Taking the chance of her seeing and feeling what you did

It’s that knowledge and
That same silence that breaks me
As I cry tears long restrained for your sake
For whatever my part is or was
For not knowing how to save you from yourself

Dear Susan, this hurts really. When kisses do not heal anymore, only tears bring some relief.

Deep and painful.
Love and hugs.

(big angel hugs) Oh Susan, this made me tear up as I felt this sort of pang ever so much reading, recognizing how there are sooooooo many who struggle to summon the will to find that faith, that confidence to pick themselves up again, and when we give so much only to see it backfire that all we can honestly do is cry to at least show that they are cared for ever so much! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a most wonderful poem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Susan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

tearful and a very powerful title!
Still...the strength of the woman comes flowing thru. The truth will set her free!
Nicely done!

truth can set one free. what is sad is when one is trying to do better. and so much opposition keeps one down. not allowing one to be themselves. but people some how must do all they can to look better so by keeping another down. placing their faults on them. never dealing with their own issues is so sad.  honesty is so important

Simply saying, your posts are from the heart.  Powerfull and full of honesty.  Sometimes you just have to sit back and watch, as much as it can hurt sometimes.
