all quite normal

after a sleepless night
I trod with a moody step down
the carnage to the vaulted forums
each memorable spot where I had
stopped and the dew dropped or
fell or anyone had to tell was
at once present in
my eyes

well the several days of
intoxication that I lost or enjoyed
beyond belief happened just before I
could descend for a more collected
and minute investigation but
for obvious reasons
I had to sit
that
one
out to
recover from
a broken dream that I
incurred in a resent bout which also
ran through my eyes but you do understand
though I would proceed in the early dawn following
where I would find this one Ingebretsen’s tale which
took place on a dimly lit road with a corrugated
country fence and a misty looking
autumn sun was set
but right
where
your views
begin to improvise
and your focused attention

undivided because one lapse you know
and even the best of us avid's could get lost
in a byline and wind up thrown into a chaotic
vortex and possibly drenched when the vain
telephone rang with a recorded message
that wanted me to confirm a credit
card purchase by saying
and or pressing
the # one
key

followed
by the pound I couldn’t
believe my tears I hung up mumbling some
foreign words I learned from television a few years back
now returning to the keyboard I discovered my cat typed in
what she thought I should be doing then found I had been
disconnected then the surfers nightmare I failed to
make a bookmark as you can see it’s
not just the poets who
are mixing
past and
present into
your reality a fine
example my dear never to be
underestimated beloved arch antagonist cat
who I once used a Shakespearean theme to describe
in a writing which of course won and lured many into her
gladiator school from bank clerk mothers to drive through
truck drivers hoping to leave the forum with a little cat
sense but still after interpreting her last little
dissertation and with my nerves
already thoroughly
tested and
it was just
after six Am. I
gingerly put my beloved
worship in her basket atop my desk
and tucked myself back into bed only to find the

alarm and the sweet voice of my wife saying we have to leave
by such and such a time to make the doctors appointment where
we would finish the day by stopping off at the drug store and then
to Safeway for some cheap Champagne and start over again
tomorrow this of course was all quite normal
for Halloween

Dale, dear Brother....Your direction on the path is so full of the wonder of you, along with the twist of the path and the glomping together of air.  This is like a letter, as I have been wondering how you are, and now I see that all is quite normal.  So glad to see you here!!!     and give my love to Rosemary!

She does...just that.

Writes imagination's believes...

and one's heart...

remains full...

Ah, Lucky....

aren't we, though?
