I Lay Down I must lie down within my dreams I cannot stay this world air born I cannot fly the real of means The horse is worn and I am torn The road too long the song to strong The bells sing out in wrong rebel I sail within the why too long The waves have gone too high in swell My fantasy has worn to done I’ve rubbed it raw the inner core Eternity cannot be won I’ve given up the evermore My senses stand a doldrums still The wind has gone another place And I, no fantasy of will My sails are shred to strands of lace Still time does move a steady source And doldrums cannot still its course |
