(quick explanation for basically all of my peices on this site. For those of you who have read me before you know most of my stuff is pretty dark. I am not a dark or unhappy person most of the time. When i feel that way i write. So most of the things you read is that. I share the worst of me with all of you.)

The darkness all around
this is my kingdom
all alone i rule here
with a sceptre of shadow
and my crown of fear
what do you seek,
when there is nothing to find?
and what is ahead
when there's nothing behind?
welcome to my world
tis twisted like a specter
and black like the most clouded of nights
from this jaded throne i reign
judge,jury, executioner
of everything but my pain
there is no heat this far down
no sun to thaw the ground
my tongue tastes ash
my world has burned
all that is left
is my kingdom of death

This is good. Nice imagery. And everyone has things about them that may not be so good, so you are not alone. It is good that you can express it in a good way, eh?

I love this. I remember feeling this a LOT. I especially like these lines-

"and what is ahead
when there's nothing behind?"

deep.

very deeply written. I believe we all have a dark side, poetry is an excellent way to express it. Nicely written.
