If I could explain exactly how I feel,
I would have endless volumes of words,
If it were possible to understand it all,
Volumes would not need to be written.

If I could run from everything,
I would run miles and get no where,
If everything ran to only me,
I would not be able to move an inch.

If I could hate everything in existence,
I would find no real sanctuary.
If I could love everything,
I would never appreciate it in full.

If I could make just one wish and have it come true,
I would never see fit to work again.
If I always believed in miracles,
I would never see at all.

If I stopped believing in myself,
I would never pick myself up off the ground,
If I stopped hoping,
I would never look forward to another day.

If I stopped creating,
I would be oh so bored,
If I stopped thinking,
I would have no place to begin or end.

If I were not alive,
I would not be in existence,
If I were dead,
I would not be living at all.
