I’ve Come I’ve come to envy days of yore The pounding of the waves on shore The wet that sinks within the sand The warmth that comes from touch of hand I’ve come to hate the cut and scull The times that turns my mind to dull The loss of fantasies reward The limit of my smorgasbord It feels as if a veil has formed And shadows where the light once swarmed Tilting toward the dark of night With fewer stars that shine at sight Much too much for shadows rind They must be shadows of my mind But yet they skitter and they bark The green has gone from light to dark I’ve come to envy days of yore But wish no more the evermore |

Oh, my! Between yours and Marge's titles today, I best get me to a nunnery! My halo is slipping past the point of no return! But, alas, my friend, on reading your sad poem, 'tis not a laughing matter. Just know, that I understand such feelings, but as you also know, they do pass. May the sun be even brighter for you on the morrow! Giving you a big, warm, loving hug ~ and a tickle under your chin! ~ or behind your ear, whichever you'd prefer! Here is a Morning Glory that I have picked from beyond's Heaven's Gate, for you! EA |

Seymour, Wonderful capture of feeling here! When we're young, we resent and strain against limits only to find that later in life there are different limits to resent and strain against---------how very well you put it! unlimited smiles, Constance |
