Forgetting their normal steps
My feet were left behind
A challenge, nothing new
So, I purchased my heart
From the local Thrift store,
While the lady at the counter
With her wire rimmed glasses and mousy look
Curiously, left hers behind
It wasn’t hard to find, my heart; stuck between Calvin and Tommy
On the rack full of jeans;
Too bad she put hers in appliances

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...
