Waves crash
and emancipate
the longings of the foam,

i watch windowside
fixed on the clouds,
waiting for your face
to reappear,

rain batters its own puddles;

within the same sea,
the beauty of a beating heart,
the sorrow of self entrappment.

I have never read something more true.

Outstanding.

Nice to read you again Michelle...

"rain batters its own puddles;
within the same sea,
the beauty of a beating heart
and the sorrow
of self entrappment."

Always love your introspection, and this verse...this was striking.

Good Lord, you know
I am so strange because I saw
you as a mermaid chained to that shore.
