Once More Once more I pass realities door To sip a cup of fantasies store Drink the magic’s intoxicate Before the end and it’s too late It’s not that I have gone to sleep But leap dimensions with my sweep Walking through my fantasy Portioning off each ecstasy Imbibing wile and even dream Sanctifies each state of seem Rubbing lotion deep inside Fills my soul with it’s abide It is to me antithesis The essence of my voice and hiss It is my world of true relieve It is the world that I believe So pass me, if my lids fall close Or sit you down and smell the rose |

So pass me, if my lids fall close Or sit you down and smell the rose Seymour, I think I shall sit quietly smelling the roses. I want to hear all about the marvelous things you have seen while dreaming. Much enjoyed this. hugs, Chris Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. |

Never heard a hiss from you yet, Sy, lol! I like that ending. For some strange reason, the Bok Tower in your wonderful Florida came to my mind when I read that last line. When I was a teen, my family took a trip and this was a place we experienced. I still remember a sign posted on a path quoting Bok with something like, Make the world a better place for you having been in it....probably not the exact quote, but that was the idea. Your poem made me think of that. ....jo http://www.boksanctuary.org/index.html (for those who've never heard of it) |
