When my friend is hurting
it tears at my soul
my heart is bleeding
for her suffering to be ceasing
my soul cries out for her wounds to heal
these words are truly from my heart
i can only hope and pray that the healing of hers will soon start

Yes, sometimes that is all we can do, offer our shoulders, and sometimes, that is all we need.
