Between the Lines

I feel comforted
in this time of need
seams pressed out
by my body's warmth
though worn through in places
where two once shared.

Not hot nor cold
just a shift of seasons
the in betweens of life
neither here nor there

just afterthoughts
before each sunrise
when time has changed and
age continues on
and the so many things left unsaid
could be the answer
to Alice's land of wonder.

Just a stone's throw away, I am...
still under reconstruction
on the run
but not hiding anymore.

or twilight,
Can be a comforting place to be,
