Soft sage redeems a listless view Clarity and warmth smooth the walls Settling in the mind a certain venture And the cease of a futile focus I have not found a cold stone Only texture, and reflection The aura of something strong and hard My sculpture has changed in my own eyes If a rock, would I be granite? Then grant me sandals If I cannot tumble smooth the edges Such heights leave passages to skip Soft sage…the echo that was born into me So vigorously criticized that pliable part Transformed from quiet depths to water falls Still, I have a will that is relentless Made certainly a mute observer To accept the grace of solitary waves Blown in fragrant knowledge through my fields Green, and ever merciful the rendering of this Bring me voice of mercury My eyes fall upon chaos in two whispers Making mine, a canvas perpetual to reinvent Soft sage, for wisdom hopes to grow Copyright Kkh 11/02/05 |
