 Artist: Dugald Bremner Taking Charge ~ Linda L. Dowd ~ I’ve had my share of troubles, ~ Small, medium, and large, But whatever has been thrown at me, I braved it and took charge. I don't evade my problems, Or hide behind a wall. I own up to my failings, And try to fix them all. I see the silver linings, And good things in the bad. I speak the voice of reason, And bite my tongue when mad. I don’t waste time worrying, About things I can't change. I do the best that I can do, And look at the long-range. I cannot ask of others, What I won't do myself. It’s better that I give my all, Than sit idly on the shelf. I take responsibility, And face up to my fears. I smile through the worst of times, And drown not in my tears. You cannot say I’m lazy, ~ I work my fingers to the bone. I play my best in this game of life, ~ Catching curve balls when they’re thrown. I’m fit, and strong and healthy, I’m loving, kind, and meek. I’m generous to others, And from my heart, I speak. I’ve had my share of troubles ~ Small, medium ~ and large, But whatever has been thrown at me, I braved it and took charge. ~*~ If this is a reflection, Of what you think and do. LOL.......My friend, I cannot help but giggle at this verse......because, I know you're not....you're one of the most energetic people I know!!!!
