Lay down the sword, you say We cut sweet apples from the trees caught them before they fell to bruise but some wounds add to the crimson hues of fallen leaves wounds that still drip from the sharp blade of a trust betrayed Time heals I've told but I still hear leaves rustling at my feet and my soul is stained glider (thanks to Ratleader for an idea) |
