It’s Almost Over October blew in again dark and damp and called to me of a past my falling (possible) memories of a sun so warm trying to trick my mind still chilled from summers I thought could be green leaves it seems have changed to colors I have never seen and oceans here still breathe in salt and sand still tenderly calls my name lullabies waves still rock the boats as I stand on its welcomed shore it’s almost over, October has one more day and it again will be just a memory for another year that I will tuck away in it’s fall October has proven not to be my friend bitter sweet kissed days of riding in the wind flies without thought to another, another, then another a silent summer has come and gone and winter is knocking at my door spring it seems is my breath and has roots to grow just some words cut out from the diary of my heart |

Sounds so sad, silent summer? Not someplaces, like N.O. “spring it seems is my breath and has roots to grow” but here’s some hope, spring and rebirth, hope love is reborn in you. Great piece |
