I smell the scent of nightly stir
Feel the air of tranquil purr
And know I am at peace
I hear my footsteps one by one
Knowing that the day is done
And there I find release

I hear the voice of pleasant sing
Finding joy in everything
The gumtrees dance in tune
The mountains fade
To distant shade
As moments pass too soon

The day’s goodbye
This one mans sigh
With nature just a pawn  
The step by step
One might forget
Until another's born
