We held hands the day you died My heart broke and tears I cried That day your spirit flew away to paradise To ascended angel-lined stairs to heaven I will never forget you And the words you last said to me Whenever you want to talk or feel me I am all around you Just close your eyes and I will be there in spirit I am the sun and moon to lighten up you days and nights I am the whisper in the breeze as I talk to you I am the stars in the midnight skies as I watch over you I am an angel tear, which fall as gentle rains I am the scent in the flowers and the voice in bird’s song You have not lost me and you never will So just close your eyes and you will never be alone |
