Heading to China

Gathered amongst the hardening few
Challenged by their ways
Stripping the mind of its true path
Focussing your energy on useless endeavours
Leaving you naked in this harsh world
A spirit surrounded by lifeless characters
Seeing a plague of doldrums
Soulless eyes staring at your heart
Waiting for the chance to feed
Losing state of mind, by failed past
Ignorance a forgotten memory
Just a visitor in this meaningless world
Plastic figures with their mouths glued shut
A lack of being crosses over
Leaving not even the strength to carry a word
A thief strikes in the night
Stealing those peaceful dreams
These happenings come and go
All in the flickering of an eye

Tomorrow comes for those who fear it.
Today never ends for those who live it.
