Winged Tears

Oh fallen rain on dampened shore
wherefore the waters puddle nigh.
Where tears shall mingle in their sleep
in wait the hush of lullaby.

Oh mingle well my water’s fall
into the waiting foaming crest
where drapes the cloak of patter’s shawl
upon the slope of rising breast..

For as the winds lie whispering
their telling of a tale once told,
the bell shall bring a welcomed ring
and rest in peace of harvest gold.

For of the golden comes to light
the sparrow ‘neath a virgin sky
and of the golden warming thee
shall come the soaring angel’s cry...

Forgive me if it seems senseless...
