Where you begin and I end; the edges of our portraits are blurry, as if the artist was in such a hurry he dropped the detail brushes from his hands, to be swallowed by the shifting sands. The sketchy once-upon-a-time scene, a distant stretch of warm sandy beach, our names encircled by a heart, etched together as if forever might be real, not fantasy. But we let the waves of time cover us, then saw them wash away our foothold, leaving nothing but the ridges of our collapse. And what was supposed to be a timeless portrait of you and me, became simply, a blurred memory. |

Kacy....I felt this too....the changing of the way things are, as if washed away by some caprecious wave. Time is never still, and all things change...wishing you a new sandcastle! |

Yes mam I've been there. But I refuse to give up forever. Very well done. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Sad but true of so many people embroiled in this thing called life. I enjoyed the read. |

Perfect! This is a beautiful write. Sometimes, as this does so well portray, in our lives we place all we have into what we perceive as an all or none situation, for better or worse, until the end, etc, etc… And to our dismay it most often ends up the negative. Store-up your possessions in Heaven; He will never disappoint you. JL |

Nancy, I'm sorry if this one stirred up a sad memory. But I guess many have experienced this down side of Love. Thanks to each of you, for reading and leaving your kind comments! |

sometimes blurring is a good thing.. perhaps and perhaps. This is still echoing within me, and I find it hard to find the words... Pepper |

You know, I am reading Billy all the Shel Silverstein books (gotta get 'em started early in this genre, ya know?) and God, this reminded me so much of what we have been reading . . . besides the foremost thing I saw, a collapse of love or a relationship or quite possibly just missing someone, as life tends to do to us, takes away our time, but also I looked so close and saw that sketcy one time scene and dang Kacy, you just described how it is to write. *smile* |
